Mallakä’s introduction on social media was a quick one, with ‘coming soon’ posted on January 31st. Followed by an announcement that the brand would be dropping a leather collection entitled ‘Staple’. Since then, it's become one of the coolest upcoming Egyptian labels, gives off a very effortless ‘model off-duty’ look. Think Bella Hadid.

Mallakä presents both black and brown crocodile leather pants, an interesting alternative to the snakeskin print pants that first gained popularity in the 70s.
The waist length, leather bomber jacket, a smooth tawny crocodile leather, is one of the bolder and pieces the label has released. The jacket’s rich shade of brown makes it a statement piece. Simply throwing it on top of any look will elevate it; you can dress it up or down.

The deconstructed flannels, in both brick red and charcoal blue with 90s Versace inspired pins are, true to the collection name, staple pieces. The flannels’ nonchalant oversized fit is a perfect combination of the traditional dad shirt with a 2021 adjustment.

The brand’s signature piece is the ‘barely there’ black croc-leather blazer and black accompanying vest. The label’s leather items are chic and nostalgic, really fitting into the current trend of reworked vintage.
Mallakä’s cool factor lies in its creative direction, the block colors and combination between deconstructed and timeless pieces allows it to be a brand for all time.
