Fashion Weeks, other than being absolutely fabulous and full of infectious energy, can shed light on a plethora of insight about the industry. From select colours, to choice cuts and repeated trends, fashion weeks set the tone for the remainder of the season. We collaborated with Maison Pyramide, a fashion strategy house based in Cairo, in order to bring you a comprehensive, live overview of Milan Fashion Week as it happens.
Consider this a style log, a place to check point, catch on to new trends circulating the catwalks and take note of the music, aesthetics and techniques fueling fashion today. From the heart of the city of moda; we'll be updating the page every day.
Following Giovanina Atieh co-founder of Maison Pyramide as she attends shows, scouts for fresh talents, does a little fashion buying and brings us some exclusive sneak previews from behind the scenes.

Prada's runway in a young girl's bedroom, bed spreads and all, again took the cake for teh artsiest runway display.
Milan Fashion Week, was a continued reflection of this year's fashion month, filled with political statements and rebels against the fashion status quo. The runways featured models of all shapes, sizes and ages. Designers were careful with their selections and liberal with their conceptualisation of profound styling mixed with bold colour displays. Crazy hats were everywhere from Missoni's Pussy hat to Gucci's full body crystal stockings, and Emilio Pucci's straw chandelier like concoctions. Runways turned into art installations, transforming into bedrooms and back to the future-esque space shuttles. With Dolce and Gabbana cementing their place as Milan royalty, with a glamorous extravaganza of a show.
